Remembering Pete Romano
It is difficult to put into words the loss of Pete Romano. We share this sadness with heavy hearts as we remember a leader, mentor, and friend whose impact on his family, this firm, and the many people and communities he served will be felt for years to come.
Pete was someone who truly mattered. He brought care, integrity, and thoughtfulness into everything he did, and he believed deeply in doing things the right way. As a principal owner beginning in 1999, Pete helped establish LANDTECH as a trusted and respected firm. Through his leadership and dedication, he helped shape the firm’s culture, values, and approach to its work. He cared deeply about quality, collaboration, and long-term impact, and he understood that good work was not just about technical excellence, but about trust, responsibility, and service.
Pete led quietly and by example. He was a steady force—calm, thoughtful, and consistent. He took time to mentor others, to listen carefully, and to offer guidance when it mattered most. Those who worked closely with Pete knew his generosity with time and knowledge, his composed presence in challenging moments, and his genuine investment in the success of others. He had a way of bringing people together and making everyone feel seen and valued, without seeking recognition or title.
His commitment to the community extended naturally from his professional life. Pete believed in the long view—building things to last, fostering meaningful relationships, and leaving places better than he found them. That belief guided his work and the way he showed up for others every day.
We are profoundly grateful for the time we shared with Pete and for the legacy he leaves behind. His influence will continue to guide how we work, how we lead, and how we support one another.
Pete will be deeply missed and always remembered.
With gratitude,
Andy
