This 1950s contemporary was completely redesigned by Sellars Lathrop Architects LLC, evolving into an upscale, energy efficient and modern riverfront retreat. Large openings of folding and lift & slide doors create an indoor/outdoor environment with a focus on the surrounding landscape of trees and plantings, water and sky.

Interior spaces were stripped down to essentials of glass, whitewashed walls and natural woods. Triple-glazed windows and doors, electric air source heat pumps, super insulation and rooftop solar panels were elements of the design that meets Energy Star Certification.

The many rooms of different heights and volumes flow into each other and keep the attention focused on what matters: The bold and ever changing green and blue landscape of the trees, sky and water.
