Continuing work on the Pedestrian Bridge
LandTech’s work on this 300′ private pedestrian bridge in Darien continues with completion this week of new pilings and the main platform. The wooden bridge leads to a private island and provides support for utility poles that supply power and services to nearby residences.
One of our “soup to nuts” projects, LandTech undertook the design and renovation of the badly dilapidated bridge. Our redesign followed extensive environmental research on methods and materials that minimize impact on nearby wetlands and are in compliance with strict local and state guidelines. We have guided the project through the permitting process and contractor selection, and are currenlty overseeing construction straight through to final approvals.
