Senior Personnel

Robert J. Jontos, Jr.: Partner, Registered Sanitarian, Master of Science in Biology. Mr. Jontos has nearly 40 years of experience in the design, supervision and management of environmental studies. He is qualified as a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), and is certified as a Professional Wetland Scientist by the Society of Wetland Scientists (PWS). Mr. Jontos is also a Connecticut Registered Sanitarian. Areas of specialty include use of natural systems for wastewater and stormwater treatment, lake and watershed management, wetlands restoration and creation and permitting. He is past-President of the Connecticut Association of Wetlands Scientists.

Peter T. Romano has nearly 30 years of experience in the civil engineering fields of planning, design, construction inspection and administration of the public works project for municipal agencies and private clients. Prior to joining Land-Tech Consultants, Inc. he established and was a partner in the firm of Richard Bennett & Associates, consulting engineer since 1985. Previous to Bennett Associates he was associated with the consulting engineering firm of Charles Mackie and Associates where he held the position of Project Engineer and Construction Inspector. Mr. Romano is a graduate of the University of New Haven with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers, the National Environmental Health Association, and an affiliate member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Mr. Romano has been in responsible charge as Project Engineer of Construction Manager since 1983 in engineering projects, throughout Southwestern Connecticut.

Christopher P. Allan: Senior Associate, Registered Soil Scientist, Professional Wetland Scientist, Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Professional, Registered Sanitarian. Mr. Allan has over 30 years of experience in the supervision and management of environmental projects. These projects include wetland delineations and assessments, environmental impact analysis, natural resource inventories, evaluation of soils for on-site sewage disposal, erosion and sediment control planning and implementation, design of stormwater runoff treatment systems, and wetland creation and planting plans.

Michael J. Bartos, Jr. P.E.: Senior Associate with nearly 30 years of experience in civil and envrionmental engineering design and management. Typical projects include wastewater collection and disposal, stormwater management, environmental assessment and remediation, and infrastructure improvements. He has worked for municipal government, the Army Corps of Engineers and private consulting firms. Member, Water Environment Federation.

Thomas Ryder: Senior Associate with over 20 years of experience in conducting and managing natural resource projects. His experience includes wildlife surveys, including threatened, endangered, and special concern species, wetland and aquatic system evaluations including vernal pool assessments and environmental impact assessments, and pond dredging and creation. He is the past president of the Connecticut Association of Wetland Scientists (CAWS). Mr. Ryder has conducted numerous terrestrial and aquatic evaluations throughout the eastern United States.
